3. Someone to Love Me               Words and Music: Barbara Cowart

I need someone to love me,

To have as my king,

Who feels like golden sunlight In the morning.

And when his spirit guides me,

He strong and he's warm.

He calms the storm inside me.

While I'm growing,

I love you Jesus.

You're the one I need.

I love you Jesus.

You set the captives free.

With this faith I keep believing,

A shield protects my soul.

And for my head,

There's a helmet of salvation.

Now I have someone to love in Jesus my Lord.

The perfect love this heart needs to know,

I need someone to love me,

To heal my heart's wounds.

While I have mourned,

To bind my broken spirit.

And where he gently leads me,

My heart will obey.

I trust his way.

And his word when I hear it.

…to proclaim liberty to the captives. Isaiah 61:1

4. Lovingkindness           Words and Music: Barbara Cowart

I need your lovingkindness,

most of all it's so true.

When in need of some lovingkindness,

There's no one else that will do.

You heal a heart that's broken

And bind it up just like new.

With a promise of faith to keep hopin'

For distant dreams to come true.

You make it easy Jesus

You would never let me fall to pieces.

Turn my life around to trust in you,

Now I know what you've called me to do.

I'll share your lovingkindness,

Take my time with it too.

On the path where your light can find us,

Just let your loving come through to me.

That lovingkindness from you,

Just let your loving come through.

Oh yeah loving kindness

On the path where your light can find us.

Just let your loving come through me,

That lovingkindness from you

Just let your loving come through me,

That lovingkindness from you

Just let your loving come through.

Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Psalms 63:3

5. Talk to Jesus           Words: Barbara Cowart        Music: Barbara Cowart and Donivan Cowart

It may feel like

Reaching out across the night,

When you first talk to Jesus

And tell him of your sin.

It may have been

years since you walked with him.

But once you start talkin'

Your heart will let him in.

Don't be afraid He loves you so,

You need to say how wrong you know you've been.

Then he'll forgive you.

Sounds simple but so true.

If you just talk to Jesus

You'll see what he can do.

Don't be afraid

He loves you still,

You need to say

That you will follow him,

Then he can lead you.

Sounds simple but so true.

If you just talk to Jesus

You'll see what he can do.

What Jesus can do,

If you just talk to Jesus.

If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrightousness.

Now if we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. I John 1:9-10

6. Keep My Faith Strong             Words and Music: Barbara Cowart

Keep my faith strong

And my heart pure.

Help me always know for sure.

Just believing with out seeing ------------------(For we walk by faith not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7)

that God's love is always there.

I'm glad to trust and know the only one.

And Jesus always will be,

I'm never gonna be alone again.

It's not askin' too much to believe in him.

Now faith is substance of thing hoped for, ------ (Hebrews 11:1)

The evidence of things not seen.

The just shall live by faith believing God, ------ (Hebrews 10:38)

He rewards all of us who are seeking him. ----- (Hebrews 11:6 )

7. With You                 Words and Music: Barbara Cowart and Donivan Cowart

You knocked on my heart's door.

Made my mind up,

I was always mistaken.

I kept hoping to find more,

Now I've heard your word I know,

I'm in love with you.

Traces from my younger days,

Broken hearted,

I just couldn't get past it.

Turn the page, the Bible says,

Forget the past.

Be born again.

I'm in love oohh with you,

Oh Jesus, you give me sweet love.

Behold I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come into him and will sup

with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

How sweet are thy words unto my taste! Yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Psalms 119:103

8. There's a Love                          Words and Music: Barbara Cowart

Yesterday's paper,

yesterday's dream,

All we have is what we seem to be without it.

Yesterday's promise,

yesterday's love,

All we have is what we're thinkin' of,

Alone in the World.

But there's a love that comes to me,

Through Jesus all the time.

There's a love that took away,

The pain of every day without you.

There's a love that comes to me,

To wipe away the tears,

There's a love to wash away the years.

Jesus my savior, teach me thy way.

Give me peace and let my heart not be afraid.

God is my refuge,

He is my strength,

When my weakness was the reason for his grace.

I want him to know everything about me,

I want him to hear every way I feel.

When things are not so good,

I can't be all I should,

and loneliness for all I know is real,

There's a love God promised would be mine.

And he said unto me, "My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9

9. One Way                           Words and Music: Barbara Cowart

I'm waiting for the end of time,

When angels will divide us,

those who follow righteousness

Get lifted up, and taken to see Jesus.

What more could please us?

There's just one way left to go

To the Kingdom of the Lord.

God remembers sin no more,

He's washed us white as snow.

God is with us all along,

His Holy Spirit guides us.

Ask for wisdom then you'll know.

How to spend your life Following Jesus

His joy completes us.

The son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom, all things that offend, and them which do iniquity. Matthew 13:41

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Thessalonians 4:17

And their sins and iniquities I will remember no more. Hebrews 10:17

These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. John 15:11

10. I Run To Him             Words and Music: Barbara Cowart

When my life feels torn within,

There I go, I run to him.

Through my tears he's like a dream,

There I go, I run to him.

Jesus my Jesus,

Where I go, I run to him,

Jesus Sweet Jesus,

There I go, I run to him,

In my prayers He hears my cry,

There I go, I run to him,

In his word the answers lie,

There I go, I run to him,

In his everlasting arms I know,

He will hold me tenderly

To his everlasting arm I go,

Where my heart is always free.

Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Psalms 51:12

11. Get Outside Your Heart                              Words and Music: Barbara Cowart

Because he first loved us we learned to love him too.

But that's not where it ends,

No darlin' we're not through,

We can't just love our work,

Enjoyin' what we do,

He tells you to love me

And me to love you too.

It ain't that hard to do,

When his love comes through,

He commanded from the start,

You must get outside your heart.

He knows you love yourself,

But to love another melts

All the hardness that you've felt,

And herein lies the love of God, Oh yeah,

Herein lies the love of God.

Because he first loved us,

He sent his only son,

Into this world of lust.

That we might live through him.

He takes away our past,

Forgives us of our sin.

He says just love someone,

In perfect love through him.

It ain't that hard to do,

Makin' love come true.

He commanded from the start,

You must get outside your heart.

He knows you love yourself,

But to love another melts

All the hardness that you've felt

And herein lies the love of God, oh yeah.

Herein lies the love of God,

His perfect love. Yeah,

Herein lies the love of God.

We love him because he first loved us. 1John 4:19

Owe no man anything but to love one another: for he that loves another hath fulfilled the law. Romans 13:8

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his son to be the propitiation of our sins. 1John 4:10

12. See You Up In Heaven                Words and music: Barbara Cowart

When I see you up in Heaven,

And we smile because we're old friends,

And the angels sing

Of a peace unending,

Eternal life will begin.

When I see you in Paradise,

And the people there are so nice,

And the Savior shines,

And the night declines to appear.

We never shall fear,

With never a tear.

Someday God's way,

Will be the promise we'll hold

This day I'll pray,

For the ones who never let go.

Of the world and all it beguiles,

With it's beauty,

Power in piles,

How the Lord defends

An old heart that won't mend.

I know I'll see you again,

When I see you up in heaven.

When we reach the ending of life,

And we've seen some sorrow and strife.

There's still joy to share,

In the love remaining up there.

I'll see you again,

When I see you up in Heaven.

And I know I'll see you again,

When I see you up in Heaven.

And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon to shine in it: for the glory of God did light it. And the Lamb is the light thereof. (Revelations 21:23)

…for there shall be no night there. (Revelations 21:25)

…and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. (Revelations 7:17)

13. His Love Is Strong              Words and Music: Barbara and Donivan Cowart

The week is long,

His love is strong.

It carries me to him,

Each Sunday in the house of God,

Restores my soul again.

I step into the congregation,

Cast my burdens down.

Through all my prayer and supplication,

I look up to his crown.

I sacrifice my life to him,

I give him all my days.

Sing praises glory to his name.

His holy presence claim.

I thank thee Lord for all my blessings.

We were dead in sin so long,

In a world with no light shining,

Now we're right where we belong.

The grace of God is why we're saved.

It's nothing that we've made,

Now in the Lord and not in vain.

We labor in his name.

I step into my daily living,

Do my daily tasks,

Through tribulation and forgiving,

My pain is in the past.

He restoreth my soul. (Psalms 23:3

Casting all your care upon him (1 Peter 5:7)

…by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. (Phil. 4:6)

I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O Lord. (Psalms 54: 6)

To the praise of the glory of his grace wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. (Eph 1:6)

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace are ye saved). (Ephesians 2:5)

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. (Eph. 2:8)

…I have not run in vain, neither labored in vain. (Philippians 2:16)

14. Here We Are In The Lord                            Words and Music: Rodney Crowell

Did you say that you've been searchin' for

A place you've never been?

Here it is darlin' Here it is.

When you're down there on the bottom,

And you're lookin' out for friends,

Here I am darlin' Here I am.

Chorus:

We've both grown tired of runnin' after rainbows.

Here we are darlin' Here we are.

When it feels like you've been driftin',

And you don't know where you've been.

Come on in You can come on in,

And when all you've seen are back doors

That lead you out of town, turn around,

Darlin' turn around.

Then thou shalt call and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry and he will say, "Here I am." (Isaiah 58:9)

15. Always           Words by Jolene Cowart            Music by Barbara Cowart

My heart was tampered with,

Thrown away broken.

But you put it together,

Told me to begin again.

You gave me a chance when no one would,

You gave me love when no one could.

You helped me so much,

And yet you don't even know

How much I love you,

How I need you so.

I could go on with what you are to me,

Like a bird who flies but cannot sing.

Like a bird who flies but cannot sing.

Days go by and I don't stop loving you,

Like a candle that's lit,

Forever burning like new.

It continues to build up like a campfire at night.

Always remember how it feels so right.

You helped me so much,

And yet you don't even know How much I love you,

How I need you so.

I could go on with what you are to me,

Like a bird who flies but cannot sing.

Like a bird who flies but cannot sing.

You're the water and the sunshine for a dying rose.

You're the shelter and guardian from

The wind that blows.

Alone was I without a smile or a care,

When I looked up I see you smiling,

Always there.

When I looked up I see you smiling,

Always there.

Teach them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and Lo, I am with you always,

even unto the end of the world. (Matthew 28:20)

You may print these lyrics for reference and singing along. We considered printing them in the CD cover, but the type is so small that it is nearly unreadable. Also, we provided you with the scripture because many gospel albums refer to a scripture verse in their songs; but most people never take the time to look each one up and read it.
